A event on Sunday 7th June. The event starts at 13:30.
This guided forest walk invites adults, especially those who feel too busy for nature or experience barriers to connecting with it, to slow down and spend meaningful time outdoors.
Moving gently through the woodland, we will explore simple practices that encourage curiosity, presence, and sensory awareness. Participants will be guided to notice the subtle details of the forest, deepen their appreciation of trees, and experience the calming benefits of being in nature. This welcoming session offers an accessible introduction to reconnecting with the natural world in small and practical ways.
This session is being run as part of the Festival of Nature programme 2026.
What is forest therapy?
Forest Therapy is a practice that promotes physical health, psychological resilience and wellness through immersing oneself in the restorative and calming atmosphere of the forest
Using structured activities and sensory engagement led by a practitioner can help participants connect and immerse themselves deeply in the natural environment which reduces stress and anxiety
