Anouck Genthon (FR) - violin
Lionel Marchetti (FR) - synthesizer and low frequency amplifiers
The Genthon_Marchetti duo works on a composition that takes space into account as one of the essential vectors in the sense that an acoustic response. Inventing a form of duet in which the body of the violin itself seems to melt into the plasticity of the synthetic sounds, the two instrumentalists build, by subtly staging the loudspeaker projection, a musical work insisting on spatial emanation from a focal point.
Anouck Genthon is a violinist who pays particular attention to sound and listening. She explores the potential of her instrument while developing a personal language nourished by improvisations and writing.
Lionel Marchetti is French composer of concrete music, acousmatic & improviser with various electronic instruments. "Concrete or abstract? I like the abstract where a memory of substance remains, the concrete which is refined at the borders of emptiness." (K. White)
