event
held at L'Étoile Studio
on Saturday 13th September. The event starts at 17:30.
Join us for an evening of exploring the connection between sounds and visuals. In this workshop, you'll have the chance to experience synesthesia — how certain sounds can evoke spontaneous visual impressions — and try translating music into visual art.
Starting with simple sounds and moving into more complex, improvised compositions by Fabio Ferri, you’ll create your own visual responses to music.
FABIO FERRI is a multifaceted musician, composer, and mathematician deeply embedded in the Bristol jazz and experimental music scene, known for his eclectic influences spanning jazz, classical, electronic, progressive, Latin, folk, noise, and beyond, which contribute to his innovative and diverse musical style.
The workshop is co-facilitated by Bristol-based visual artist Marta Reina, known for discovering new and exciting ways to tap into creativity. This event promises an inspiring journey for everyone, no matter your experience level. Materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own if you'd like!
