Phil Minton / Matt Davis / Luigi Marino - Album release party

Experimental improv trio featuring legendary vocalist Phil Minton (voice and trumpet), Matt Davis (trumpet and objects), and Luigi Marino (percussion and electronics) celebrate their recent album release on Scatter Archive in the tiny and cosy space at L’Etoile Studio.

Tickets £10 (but if you're short on cash, pay what you can — or if you're just curious and there is room, come on in!)

"Minton’s ethereal, quiet vocalizations, with Thieke and Davis’ bird-call-tinged sounds, set the sparse, reserved atmosphere, but slowly this piece opens when Marino’s interventions with bowed cymbals and fragmented percussive sounds, Minton’s whistles, and Davis and Thieke’s stasis-like blows steer the piece into a mysterious, alien conversation."
