"TON back with another trend-busting/setting broken beat excursion. Listen to one of Emma-Jean Thackray productions and you know she knows a thing or two about SHUFFLE. The Worldwide FM selector’s joined by Bugz in the Attic originators Mark Force and Afronaut for a night of syncopated delights."

A
clubnight
held at Loco Klub
on Friday 8th March. The event starts at 22:00.
Powered Firmly Rooted Soundsystem
Another bruk & broken beat special for bristol. We're taking over the loco klub your favourite former railway ashpit, turned music venue.
If you haven't been to a Turned Out Nice, or you're not familiar with Broken Beat genre, then it's gonna be something truly fresh for you.
Broken Beat is a broad church stemming mostly from the late 90's early 2000's. Kind of imagine a fusion of Boogie, Latin Percussion, 2-step and jazz (+ the rest).
Joining us to headline is the UK-Jazz composer, producer and scene stalwart EMMA-JEAN THACKRAY rolling out a DJ set.
Not only an accomplished composer, producer, singer, multi-instrumentalist, she's also held prolific residences with Worldwide FM, Jazz FM + a bunch of shows on BBC 6 Music.
Alongside her, we'll be joined by Bugz in the Attic familia Mark Force & Afronaut.
On support are Bristol staples Boogie Cafe & Sentinel 793
important update RE tonight
We're always trying to navigate the best way possible in which we can bring people together and share what we love, but the reality is that it's becoming more and more difficult to do so in this climate.
Unfortunately, we have to announce tonight's event at Loco Klub will no longer have Emma-Jean Thackray DJ'ing. We’ve spoken with Emma’s team and they’ve accepted our suggestion that Emma sits this event out.
The event will be going at a reduced capacity and ticket price.
That decision will help us to continue putting on our niche events going into the future.
We cannot thank Emma and her team for their understanding of this situation.
If you had bought a ticket to see EMJ, we’ll be happy to issue a refund, or a free ticket to our next event (May 18th) at a brand new venue for Bristol.
The clarify the event will be going ahead with the remainder of the lineup but will be running at a reduced capacity.
