Strictly Yes presents : Jonas Kopp

( Tresor / Tremsix / Semantica )

Joined by Bristol based artists Jurango and Eksish.

We are very excited to be holding our first event in the vibey city that is Bristol. Not only are we flying over the incredibly talented Jonas Kopp from Berlin, but we will be enjoying his company deep underground in the tunnels of The Loco Klub.

Down underneath the surface of the city will be a creation of dark tunnels filled with the sounds of techno and visions of live art. Fabricating the feel of an intimate atmosphere to enable the full chance of encapsulating the talent that surrounds.

- Jonas Kopp - (TRESOR RECORDS)

Signed to the impressive Tresor Records among a long list of others, he released his album ’Photon Belt’ last year - a follow up to the 2014 ‘Beyond The Hypnosis’ long player. Influenced initially by the tough house rhythms of New York, he soon widened his palette with the pioneers of Detroit and Chicago also informing his style; a comfortable place straddling House and Techno.

2006 marked his official debut release, a rousing EP on Pfirter’s MindTrip Music, and from that point, he has become one of the most versatile and recognised multifaceted performers in the underground scene, combining dizzying 3-deck genre hopping DJing with a more techno-orientated live show which he unveiled at the World’s most well-known Techno institution: “ It was a very special gig for me.” He says, “My first time ever in Berlin and I had to play live on the Ben Klock Berghain 04 compilation!”

- Eksish -

Eksish is a DJ who specialises in a trippy style of minimal & deep tech, mixed with stripped down ‘dusty’ sounding techno. She moved to Bristol where her unmistakable sound has landed her a place as a resident DJ at The Nest in Manchester & 10twenty Radio in Bristol. Eksish has shared the stage with the likes of Craig Richards, Magda, Gescu, Diego Krause and Jack Wickham. Over the last few months her electronic-tech vibe sets and mixes have taken her to countries such as Germany and Sweden, with performances at the famous Kit Kat fetish club in Berlin & Laika.

- Jurango -

Quietly familiar to one of the many corners that makes up Bristol's night time community, Jurango has continued to support the cities bass-led oddities and club misfits for a number of years through his residency with Psychotherapy Sessions. If you're yet to come across him in Cosies or Crofters, it's just as easy to catch up with him on the radio waves, holding down regular slots on Noods + 10TwentyRadio via PTS and his recently launched show, Raw Addictions.

- Live Art -

We will also be having an amazing show of LIVE art. Something very exciting will be happening in one of the tunnels - TBA.

Tickets available at Headfirst Bristol.
