Ground Control: Dub & Bass Fusion
Prepare for lift-off into the depths of the bass weight as Pressure Promotions brings you Ground Control, a sonic journey weaving roots samples and production techniques entwined with deep, driving 140 bass exploration. All powered by community spirit and heavyweight low-end.
We’re taking off from Lost Horizon Yard Bar on Friday 12 September, running from 4PM to 10PM, with a carefully selected line-up of DJs bringing their own interpretation of 140/dubstep/future dub sounds. Expect a fusion of deep dub, rolling 140, and low-frequency pressure designed to keep you moving from launch to landing.
Lineup: Breakfake, MastaRatt, Staya, No More All Male Line Ups DJs (MEG:AM, Casserole, Aerial)
We are also excited to share with you our new immersive sensory space. Lift the parachute to immerse yourself into a unique sensory realm. Experience reality through senses like smell, sight and touch as you settle into surreal comfort. This will be in a quieter area to enable people to regulate and explore with their senses.
At the heart of Pressure Promotions is our mission to create inclusive and accessible spaces where everyone feels welcome.

This includes:
-Step-free access throughout
-Gender-neutral toilets
-A chill-out and low-sensory space
-Clear event information shared in advance (Social stories, venue video walkthrough)
Inclusivity is at the heart of what we do. Creating line ups with a combination of emerging talent, players in the scene and marginalised DJs. Working to give new artists a real platform to play out and grow, putting pressure on the scene to make space for those normally marginalised.
Line-up:
Breakfake
Breakfake is a DJ & producer based in Leeds, UK. His sound covers a wide spectrum blending elements of roots with contemporary bass music.

Coming from a live music background, his journey has changed after experiencing UK sound system sessions, which deeply shaped his approach to music production and performance.

He also incorporates live elements to his sets, and plays both DJ or LIVE set performances which are performed in the form of live dubbing which involve MPC, synths and analog effects such as echoes, filters and spring reverb. Keeping the foundation and message of sound system culture at heart.
MastaRatt

Founder of record label and rave collective WOB40, MastaRatt takes to the stage with heavyweight bassquake artillery. Expertly blending original productions with underground sounds appreciated on the 140 scene, MastaRatt places an emphasis on dubstep's roots in reggae music, redefining the punky reggae party for a modern crowd.
Straya
From Devon to Bristol, Karnage Soundsystem and Everybody's Yard crew/resident selector, a multi genre dj with a penchant for all things soundsystem culture. Expect nothing but big bad heavy basslines and dubbed out delays through a hefty selection of roots, dub and steppas.
No More All Male Line Ups Takeover DJs
No More All Male Lineups (NMAMLU) have been causing a commotion in Bristol, on a mission to make a change in the male-dominated electronic music scene. Bristol has a huge diversity of non-male talent and NMAMLU are here to platform it!
Casserole
Driven by deep sub-frequencies and the raw energy of underground sound, casserole is a multi-genre DJ specializing in 140 and jungle, taking listeners on a journey from deep dubstep to high-energy breakbeats
MEG:AM
Meg AM is a Bristol based DJ, who plays a blend of grime, dubstep and garage. She began DJing in 2018, and has played venues across Bristol, Norwich and Brighton. Meg has appeared on Keep Hush, Rinse FM, SWU FM, and at events like Eskimo Dance and Nass Festival.
