A
event
held at Lost Horizon
on Friday 22nd July. The event starts at 19:30.
Bristol's most chaotic comedy night will be whipping up one hell of a feast. So sneak into your local museum, nick a pair of big-boy Tudor pants and prep that stomach!
***THE MENU***
***COURSE ONE***
JOHN-LUKE ROBERTS
An award-winning, critically acclaimed comedian who's been treating audiences around the country for years with his brilliantly daft joke-powered absurdism. According to The Guardian, he's a “one-man finger-in-the-dyke against the blandification of comedy.” (Which isn't actually vulgar slang, who knew?)
You may know him through his podcast Sound Heap or you may know him from his work as co-founder of the Alternative Comedy Memorial Society. Or you may not know him at all - in which case, get to know him (from a respectful distance while he stands on stage and chucks up sweet, sweet comedy).
***COURSE TWO***
BEANPIG PUPPETS
Like a giant bowl of snap, crackle and pop, Beanpig Puppets will kick your sensory receptors into overdrive. As an absurdist puppetry collective, they'll lure you in with their brew of proper tasty oddness. What's real? What's not real? In their world, anything's possible.
***COURSE THREE***
CARLOS AIRHEAD
Allegedly, Gordon Ramsey kicked him out of his kitchen for being 'too big'. Can't legally say much more than that.
***COURSE FOUR***
SNEEZE
God bless her, it's Sneeze! The disco demon of Bristol and host of Slaughterhaus, Bristol's most ferocious alternative drag cabaret, she'll leave you gagged, gooped, and wondering how long before that rash clears up. Tissues at the ready lads!
***NIGHT CAP**
The feast isn't over until it's over. After comedy comes tipples, shimmying and more tipples (until 1am).
***YOUR HOST***
Every course will be served up by Fella, who critics dubbed 'gleefully ridiculous' so your night will be in deliciously demented hands.
