A
event
held at Lost Horizon
on Friday 5th December. The event starts at 16:00.
The Red Web Collective is back, teaming up with Pressure Promotions to amplify, platform and celebrate a diverse web of Femme Folks.
Can you imagine a world where you can take off the mask and shine?
Enter the bold & beautiful world of the web. You are invited to the Ball !
A multi-disciplinary play space with a feast of sensory delights, from Cabaret to Clothes Swap, Art Market to DJs, dancing- with the opportunity to spin some of your favourite tunes on our Open Decks slot, or take some time out to rest and recharge in our Sensory Canopy.
We aim to platform, celebrate, upskill & inspire women and femme identifying folks, amplifying a diversity of voices and building spaces which are safe and accessible for all.
With a range of offerings, and a DIY approach, we encourage whatever involvement feels right for you. Our programme invites you to step into a world of play, where the feminine experience is explored, educated upon, sun soaked and sung for.
Here you are free to take the mask off and come as you are.
For our Unmasked Ball we are excited to share with you our new immersive sensory space. Lift the parachute to immerse yourself into a unique sensory realm. Experience reality through senses like smell, sight and touch as you settle into surreal comfort. This will be in a quieter area to enable people to regulate and explore with their senses.
-Cabaret - a diverse range of performance art- championing femmes in the spirit of unmasking & letting your true self shine
-Open Decks- the chance to play your music live and direct on our decks
-Clothes Swap- bring your old clothes and trade them for treasures anew
-Sensory Chill Out Space- an audiovisual canopy & comfy space to rest, relax & recharge
At the heart of Pressure Promotions is our mission to create inclusive and accessible spaces where everyone feels welcome.
This includes:
-Step-free access throughout
-Gender-neutral toilets
-A chill-out and low-sensory space
-Clear event information shared in advance (Social stories, venue video walkthrough)
We weave our web wide- across generations, backgrounds and life histories. Everyone is welcome- femmes, friends, allies & everyone in between, stood on grounds of celebrating women and femme folks.
If you have any access requirements that would make this event easier for you to attend, or wish to reach out and get involved- we would love to hear from you.
