Black Gold Vinyl Fair is the UK’s largest dance / electronic / rave gathering of DJs and vinyl junkies. Held at Lost Horizon in Bristol on Sat 14th Feb, the 7th edition is the biggest yet!
Nowhere else in the UK (or even the world!?) brings together the DJs, producers, labels, shops and other key elements of rave and vinyl culture on this scale to meet the fans and collectors who support them year round.
20 of the UKs leading figureheads will be unveiling exclusive new releases including the most anticipated repress editions of Formation Records back catalogue which were the foundation of drum and bass and rave. Kniteforce Records will be selling 12 x 12” limited edition represses for the first time (the originals sell for hundreds of pounds each!).
Velocity Press publishers will be showcasing a rare collection of rave flyer art from Phatmedia who are the world leading curators of this form of folk art which has adorned millions of clubbers’ and ravers’ bedroom walls for the last 40 years.
The energy in the room will be heightened not only by personal appearances from scene heroes such as Ray Keith, Adam F and Pete Cannon, but by background DJ sets including a live demonstration of scratching and beat juggling by UK DMC champion Mr Big Mouth!
The bar will be open serving alc and non alc drinks with authentic Caribbean catering.
And it’s FREE! So come and meet your favourite DJ or producer and soak up the celebratory atmosphere from midday.
