The perfect blend of Afro-Creole fusion kicks off for the first outing of Lost INTL
Roll Up! Roll Up! It’s a Bristol debut for The Bongo Hop (FR)
The rich tone of their take on Afro-Caribbean dance music is the result of many influences including Sevet’s time in Cali where he met frequent collaborator and folkloric vocalist Nidia Góngora, and the African rhythms he encountered at home among the African diaspora, as well as his many travels around the world
Weaving together a sound that well and truly covers the tropics, it’s a joyous Afro-Latin energy of Jazz, Cumbia, Afro-Funk and Zouk in a Creole-Tropical melting pot. The truth is you can’t pin down the sound of The Bongo Hop.
Get yourselves ready for infectious sound, universally connecting us all between distant landscapes, melodies and rhythm. This will not only paint images of Latin America and Colombia in all of our souls but draw new transatlantic (lost) horizons.
