African musicians x underground club DJs, live percussion, and the UK debut of Mali’s rising Afrobeats & balafon star PCHA!
We're back for the next event in our Afro electronic series bringing together live African musicians and underground club DJS for a dancefloor igniting collaboration of music and cultures!
This time we have Mali's rising Afrobeats and Balafon star PCHA. Coming from a long line of master balafon players, PCHA is determined to preserve the tradition of the balafon, fusing the sounds with modern Afrobeats, hip hop and pop rhythms putting his own spin on this ancient tradition to reach new audiences, mixing together the ancient and new sounds of Mali!
Virtuoso West African percussionist Seydou Kienou will perform alongside PCHA and also fuse his high-octane Mande rhythms with Inda Flo's bass stomping percussive mother beat lighting up the dancefloor with a exchange of musical ideas!
