Influx Bazaar aims to create an accessible space for queer and intersectionally marginalised people that encourages people to focus on building and reinforcing community, boosting confidence, autonomy and anti-capitalist ideas. We aim to transmute the isolation, individualism and oppression through community care and radical acts of mutual aid and queer joy.
We will have a mixture of alternative stalls of clothing and art, a creative writing workshop with Paz Huxley focusing on relationship anarchy and a workshop with Gender Criminal focusing on poetry for rage and revolution, a tarot reader and a raffle with proceeds going to a charity in support of and aiding towards Palestine.
Queerness is inherently political and Influx Bazaar doesnt shy away from this with activist workshops, and engagement with local organisations, fundraising for local individuals and for organisations as well as providing a social space for our community to enjoy. The focus is always on uplifting marginalised voices, sharing resources and signposting to information and organisations that support our community, no gatekeeping!
We've got a bunch of wonderful new stallholders 12-6pm.
Entry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs, 1:1 ratio)
