Syd Lawrence was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in June 2024. MND is an uncommon condition that affects the brain and nerves. There is no cure for MND but there are treatments to help reduce the impact it has on a person's daily life. Syd has always been passionate about music over the decades, from a Jazz dancer to opening The Dojo which was a key venue as part of Bristol’s nightlife scene for 25 years.
