Celebrating All Women + NB in music at Lost Horizon
See event details

A gig held at Lost Horizon on Wednesday 8th March. The event starts at 19:00.

2023 International Women's Day is here and at Lost Horizon this is truly a day of inspiration and celebration. We have gathered incredible and inspiring women and gender non-conforming people to talk about their experiences in the music industry. It’s a melting pot of inspiration; people who are going to be sharing their advice, successes, struggles and tips for making it in a male dominated industry. This event is open to EVERYONE regardless of age or gender.

‘Female’ or ‘Queer’ isn’t a genre.

Yes, we do know how turntables work.

No, I won’t smile more.

Yes, you’re already speaking to the boss.

We believe we can’t be fully equal until ALL women are included. We are in full support of the queer and transgender communities and welcome everyone to share this space. The struggle for equal representation in the music industry is a unifying fight that our panellists experience on a daily basis and we believe demonstrates the resistance that women of all kinds face in the night time economy. This event will be raising funds in support of T4T as well as Refugee Women of Bristol.
