‘Hi’ is an introduction to Make Friends. The songs on their debut EP ‘Hi' consist of earliest ideas and experiences they've had as a band culminating in plays on BBC Introducing, BBC 6 Music and Radio X from indie demi-gods Steve Lamacq and John Kennedy.
Working with Everything Everything keys player Pete Sené, Make Friends recorded the EP in 2018 at Geoff Barrow’s Invada Studios in Bristol. In the band’s own words –– ‘’Our hometown felt like the best place to lock ourselves away for a few days. Bristol is such a liberating and exciting city to record and perform in, and as a result we think you can hear the flair and energy in the songs. This is our first EP, so we really wanted to make a splash in the most in your face way possible.''
