DUBS.TEK:
DJ KUTZ - [SOUL JAZZ // SUBFREQ // WHEEL & DEAL // RINSE FM]
The Rinse FM regular, rose to prominence following a string of successful releases on seminal labels such as Soul Jazz, Wheel & Deal and Sub Freq. With DJ support from artists like Skream, Benga and Chef, DJ Kutz is famous for his energetic DJ sets around the world and recently stole the limelight at OUTLOOK FESTIVAL 2010 where he destroyed the floor with MC P Money.
You don't get much bigger or more respected in the Dubstep world than having releases on Deep Medi, and Quest seems to go from strength to strength with these. Never one to dissapoint, there's dubplate after dubplate at this guy's sets. DO NOT MISS.
With releases on major labels including Skream's'Disfigured Dubz' 2010 was an explosive year for Phaeleh (pronounced'Fella'). His highly anticipated debut album'Fallen Light' has had top reviews in everything from'Mixmag' to'The Guardian'.
A huge favourite with true Dubstep heads who appreciate his stupidly skilfull production.
LOJIK [FTW RECORDS // DUBS.TEK]
As if plays on the BBC, 225,000 YouTube views (and counting) for his Bob Marley remix and perfectly built releases on FTW wasn't enough of an achievement, in 2010 Lojik enjoyed sets with the huge S.O.M.E night at The Den (London), Outlook Festival (Croatia), along with headline slots for DUBS.TEK in London, Wolverhampton, Swindon & Bristol. Most recently warming up for COKI at Basement 45.
THE DROP:
CALVERTRON
Calvertron was the producer/engineer behind one of the UK's most groundbreaking music duo's'Twocker'. A hugely respected artist across the globe, you'd be hard pressed to have not heard one of his over 100 releases.
Straight after another massive world tour we bring Calvertron back towards his South West home to tear apart Motion.
Well what can we say? It's Rennie Pilgrem for F**ks sake.
The man is a living legend. He created nu-skool breaks and The Drop is more than proud to have one of our absolute heroes playing for us. If you miss this.....well there's something wrong with you!
Hailing from South London, Marco Giuliani aka Last Japan has exploded on to the dance scene in the last year. Still studying Music Production at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guilford, the last 12 months have seen the 20 year old grow from knocking up bootlegs in his bedroom to one of the hottest and most in demand remixers.
