The Burning Glass + Razzomo at Mr Wolfs
See event details

A gig held at Mr Wolfs on Friday 2nd December. The event starts at 21:00.

The Burning Glass share true stories with their audiences in a unique style using electric guitar, bass, tuned percussion ukulele and drums. They play songs that make you want to dance with lyrics that explore everything from existential philosophy to the 'raw food' movement and wildlife conservation.

Edwin Brooks, a poet songwriter and organic vegetable grower writes the songs. He formed the band with his cousin Kizzy Brooks and they are joined by musicians from wildly different backgrounds, the brightest talents of Bristol's jazz and swing scenes teaming up with two of the UK's leading orchestral percussionists, with other members drawn from the worlds of psychedelic rock and theatre and clowning.

The band have a cult following from UK festivals and are working on their third album due for 2023.

Plus support from Razzomo
Razzomo are a Full Power Folk Duo! They mix sizzling Klezmer, Balkan & Irish fiddle lines with booming guitar beats & loops - with more than enough energy to keep you dancing all night!

Razzomo have performed to loving audiences when travelling across India, Thailand, Croatia + Vietnam and of course to their beloved hometown of Bristol and across the UK - as well as many festivals including Glastonbury, Boomtown & Nozstock.

Both are members of festival favourites Mr Tea and the Minions, and as a duo they put their own unique spin on traditional Balkan and Celtic folk music - whilst mixing their broad range of influences into their energetic live set featuring original tunes and original takes on traditional bangers, plus the odd 90’s dance rave!!!
