Hannah & The Heartbreak are Bristol and London based band, originally formed by the collaboration of Hannah Bristow, lead singer and songwriter with a collection of musician friends based around the warehouse scene in North London known as "The Manor". The music resonates elements of progressive rock which creates a powerful backdrop for Hannah's soul vocals, reminiscent of Carole King and Cat Power.
After being discovered on Amazing Radio by winning a competition with a demo of the song 'The Gate' , Hannah & The Heartbreak received airplay through BBC Introducing with Gary Crowley on BBC Radio London. Tom Robinson from 6 Music then played the single Moon Dune' and more recently Janice Long played their most current single 'Edge of The Blueline' on her show on BBC Radio 2, several times. Hannah & The Heartbreak are used to playing the London circuit over the last 4 years in venues such as The Ronnie Scotts Bar, The Finsbury, 229 club and the Coben Club supporting Jack Soveretti just to name some.
With Hannah on lead vocals, she is likened lyricly to Regina Spektor, with the vocal power of a modern Patti Smith colliding with the gentleness of Carole King, plus a dark twist of Lana Del Ray. the band known as "The Hearbreak" are james Nicholls, guitar, Ed Wren on keys, Nick Clarkson on Bass , Robert Grist on drums and Frankie and Ghevarna on backing vocals.
Their album "Open Heart Surgery" is available on iTunes and Spotify and was released on "All the Cats Recordings" in 2015 which they will be performing along with some tracks never before unleashed!
Ebbing Tides play original folk and country influenced music. Based in the west country. They formed from duo Steffan Lewis and Rachel foster in 2016 joined by Kate Fox on violin.
Steffan and Rachel started as a duo in 2014 with gigs at the Totterdown music festival and arts trail. Since then they have been getting to know the folk scene and performed at Bath Folk Festival in 2016. Other gigs have included the Fringe to the 6 music festival in Bristol and well received support sets at the Folk House and Downend Folk Club. Following a collaboration with Louise D'Arcy on vioin in 2015, Kate took over on fiddle in 2016 to complete the new line up under the name 'Ebbing Tides'.
Steffan's songwriting and guitar style combine with Rachel's natural harmonies and Kate's violin work. The songs tell of love, fears, hope, local history, people and places.
