held at Mr Wolfs
on Monday 5th August. The event starts at 20:00.
George Clement: Through wearing his heart on his sleeve, George Clement creates punchy indie tunes with dark lyrical undertones that discuss doubt and mental health. Influenced by the beautifully poetic Courtney Barnett, the energetically emotional Twenty One Pilots and the aggressively positive Idles, George; armed with a piano and a microphone will let you know that it’s okay to be a bit of a mess sometimes, mostly from personal experience.

Frank: Bristol singer / songwriter.
Sam Brothers: is a 25 year old singer-songwriter and performer, based in Canterbury, in the South of England. Although he is rooted in the raw traditions of the travelling Troubadour – he reflects the ever-changing world we live in through the wide eyes of his generation. With the face of an innocent, the voice of a fallen angel and with a deep knowledge far beyond his years, he offers a genuine and meaningful alternative to the pre-packaged, over-processed, trivia-twittering wannabees that dominate the airwaves and flood our screens, daily reducing music to fast food in a world screaming out for home cooking.
His songs reflect the truths that his single-minded lifestyle and tough choices have delivered. Rooted in the raw passion of the early protest singers and touching on the beauty of the first wave of folksters – Sam’s songs are invested with echoes of Dylan, Buckley, Drake, Van Zandt, and all the stops along the long, old, lonely road that those illustrious names illuminate.
A genuine working Troubadour, who earns his living by performing the music he writes, Sam was discovered busking in his home-town by seasoned industry veteran manager, producer and analogue junkie – Mark St. John (Bob Marley, Eddy Grant, The Pretty Things, Flora Purim, Jim Jones, Arthur Brown) - who was immediately impressed. This chance meeting led to Sam signing a record production and music publishing deal, with St. John producing Sam’s first album (in glorious analogue) and his partner, music publishing guru - Crispin Evans (U2. Abba, Elvis Costello, Paul Weller and many more) – taking care of Sam’s songs.
Sam has now completed his first album, recorded entirely on glorious analogue tape, using real instruments and capturing entire vocal and musical performances, without any major overdubs or additions. Producer/manager, Mark St. John has a wealth of analogue recording experience and is the owner of the legendary Ronnie Lane Mobile, which was home to The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Stones and all the usual suspects, from rock’s halcyon years, and he has brought this knowledge to bear in capturing the truth in Sam’s work. www.facebook.com/sambrothersmusic soundcloud.com/sam-brothers www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARaf-0F6XFc
