The Robert J Hunter Band make their debut at Mr. Wolf's Bristol for a night of dirty blues.
Dirty rhythm and blues from the depths of Alderney, based in London. Island born Robert J. Hunter combines his gruff and powerful voice with the wild thud of overdriven blues guitar.
His powerful debut album, ’Songs for the Weary’, received blues chart success and critical acclaim and the single release, ‘Demons’, reached number one in the UK iTunes Blues Chart.
In 2017 Robert was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) with his powerful ballad, ‘Preacher’ which was chosen from 16,000 entries.
Following his set at The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival 2017, The Robert J Hunter Band were chosen as the fifth and final act to compete in the UK Blues Challenge at Liverpool‘s legendary, Cavern Club.
This is a road worn, dirty blues band that’s been honed to super tight perfection by sheer hard work and volume of shows.
