Brains in Vats is a Bristol based band consisting of Mike Swift, James Sayer and Adam Pinfold. Defining their sound is tricky, but'mutant rave' seems to capture the feel. Blending the traditional guitar, bass and drums with synth and looped elements, the band's mantra is to produce the kind of music you'd want to hear at 3am in a dark, sweaty festival tent. Formed in 2012, Brains in Vats quickly gained a reputation for their blistering live sets and have since taken the stage at the likes of Brisfest and Shambala, along with all of Bristol's cherished venues. Releasing their debut'Alien Syntax EP' in 2014, the band donated all profits to MSF (Doctors Without Borders) in the wake of the African Ebola crisis and US-backed Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.
