A
gig
held at Mr Wolfs
on Saturday 6th May. The event starts at 21:00.
JOE PROBERT
Joe Probert aka Joe Probert is many things. Singer, songwriter, gardener, cowboy, a 26 year old songwriter and drummer, growing many sweet soul-drenched funk pop fruits from his love nest in Auckland NZ and playing all the instruments himself.
‘Red Lights’ is the latest of these slack-rocking, funk-slaying juicy nuggets to be plucked from Joe’s tree of songs. Its irresistible sweet, sweet nectar luring Taran Stormes Martino, Kake, and Tim Goldsworthy to share their talents in this intergalactic cowboy throwdown, inspiring them to be the heroes they were born to be.
TOKEN HONEY
Token Honey emerged from Manchester in early 2022 with a mission to get crowds moving to their blend of disco-inspired indie pop. Inspired by the likes of Parcels, Roosevelt, and Blossoms, their versatile sound brings thundering grooves, funky guitars, dreamy synths and catchy melodies complemented by five-way vocal harmonies. With sold-out headline shows in Manchester and London under their belt, Token Honey are forging a reputation for their vibrant and polished live sets, which is only set to increase throughout 2023. The new year started with a bang for Token Honey as they made their debut at Manchester's iconic venue The Deaf Institute.
