A
gig
held at Mr Wolfs
on Saturday 9th September. The event starts at 21:00.
PAPA NUI
Papa Nui are a 6 piece band from Oxford who always get a party started when they play their mix of ska, reggae, blues, balkan, funk, afro-beat with the occasional spot of bluegrass thrown in. No style of music will stop them from taking them where the music needs to go. They describe themselves as ’genre-fluid’!
With a line up of harmonica, guitar, bass, drums and a trumpet/trombone horn section, the whole band all sing creating a joyful sound. Using their catchy tunes to bring in the crowd the band always take their audience on an exciting adventure.
AMUN RAMEN
We're called Amun-Ramen (after the Egyptian god of instant noodles) and we perform a mix of genres, from psychedelic folk-rock, through blues, to even prog/jazz moments. We represent a pretty oldschool hippie sound with a contemporary twist to it. Most of our songs are originals, we also perform a couple of kooky covers.
