The writing and work of David Bowie was a huge influence on SongSmith founders QJB and Helen Ditchburn and so following the death of the great man earlier this year Q decided that he would like to put on a night to celebrate his music with people coming together to perform his songs and performances from all eras of his career. A house band has been formed featuring long time collaborators QJB and The Ant, plus fellow RKoS performers Len Liechti and Chris Hales with Pete White(Los Cojones and ) on drums who has also featured in a number of No Prima Donna performances in collaboration with Mind Your Music. Also performing as guest vocalist is the fabulous top 10 artist Kizzy Morrell now from Studio 7 and prime moving behind the South West Young Musicians Awards as well as a Ujima radio presenter. On saxophone we are privileged to have Sean McBride who has legendary status as a local musician with more band credits including The Buzz With Ruzz, Souled Out, Whole Lotta Shakin', SAMS Band, etc, etc, etc. We also have performances from Tim Burroughs and Seah.
