The Hooches + Natural Right at Mr Wolfs

A gig held at Mr Wolfs on Sunday 25th May. The event starts at 21:30.

THE HOOCHES
The Hooches, an up-and-coming indie rock band with a unique twist, have made their debut by playing gigs and house parties in Brighton, UK. The brainchild of Josh Wells, the band’s intention was to create an immersive experience for their audience, transporting them into a vortex while they sipped margaritas in a homemade skatepark. While everyone loves a cover song, the Hooches also showcase their own original compositions, though they’re still in the process of writing them.

Until then, they’ll be sporting “Some songs you know, some songs you don’t know.” Party first, and articulation second. The kind of music that your mum might be embarrassed to listen to while taking the kids to school.

NATURAL RIGHT
Natural Right create their own unique blend of original reggae ska with an indie & Balkan influence. Band members are currently based between Reading, Brighton and London.

They play mainly as a 5 piece, but occasionally a bit of extra brass can appear. The current members are Alex Rivers (vocals and guitar), Andy Whitaker (bass), Django Hendrickson (keys) Jay Myers (drums), Tom Platts (sax) and the odd guest appearance from Sue Butler (fiddle). The band have been playing together in a similar format since 2016.

The debut album, due out in 2025 is being recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios and is being produced by Simon "Barny" Barnicott (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and Placebo) With a guest appearance from Barry "Baz" Warne of The Stranglers.
