YARMOUTH
After several years of raiding stages of all sizes as a hired gun, the Bristol based singer/ songwriter Rhydian Evetts wrote an album, and in his bedroom, formed a band of his own. National lockdown might’ve been a gruelling experience for many, but Evetts kept his mind, vocal cords and masterly hands occupied by dreaming of seaside fish & chip shops that sell lager, going to The Pleasure Beach and riding the snails, something we hear plenty about on the sensational debut “Everything is Great (Yarmouth)” Joined by the slavic powerhouse Vladimir Nemecek behind drums and engineering wizard Alfie Tyson-Brown behind the desk, Evetts baked a particularly tasteful pie of a record that has seemingly far too many ingredients, but you’ll soon find out the group knew very well it all stands and falls on the ratios, and they might have just got all of that right. They simply just don’t make them like this anymore.
