A gig held at Mr Wolfs on Thursday 16th March. The event starts at 21:00.

STRANGE SUN
The band’s thought-inducing, third single, Fishbowl, set to be released on the 05/01/2023, speaks to excessive consumerism and the pain our mother earth endures. If we fishies aren’t mindful of our actions, our already fractured fishbowl may soon shatter.

Our boundless ambition has taken us out of the planet’s atmosphere to the final frontier. From this vantage point, we have witnessed our Earth’s awe-inspiring beauty, but this ‘brilliant jewel in the black velvet sky’ (Buzz Aldrin, Insider, 2019) Has. It’s. Limits. .

Fishbowl is hitting all streaming platforms on the 5th of January 2023..
This simple, yet anthemic record explores new ground for Strange Sun. After their previous two singles which use a ‘fusion of jazz, reggae, and blues to create a unique sound’ (The Manc Audio, bands that you need to look out for, 2022); fishbowl shows a different side to the band. The lethargic chords of the verse and chorus create space for self-reflection without drawing too much attention to the true nature of the message. The chorus is sure to impassion, with live gigs filled with rapturous belting of the lyrics from the crowd, Fishbowl truly is a fan favourite. We are then pulled back to Earth with the addition of poignant spoken word, which drives home the chilling mortality of humankind and our world.

TOWN HOUSES
We are a neo-discordian proto-collective, born in London and Birmingham, all converging and later forming _townhouses in Bristol, UK. We rely heavily on our combined music tastes, drawing influence from LCD Soundsystem, Vundabar, The Stone Roses, Super Furry Animals, and Joy Division. Everything is made in one bedroom, so take a look... and see what you think.

Currently working on a mixtape that is both violently anti plymouth gin (and all their associates), whilst also being pro forgiveness, but only when it looks like emojis. Seemingly verging on futility we battle our swords through war, and wage upon the rest, watching TV like there's no tomorrow. But there's bag rights, and good oats. So you know it's full of bangers. Pre us, post them, and no takebacks. Only sweet sweet noise with shakers. F*ck George.

Door Policy
Last entry with a ticket at 11:00pm, but all tickets holders are welcome to stay for the after show DJ until close. If you are planning to arrive later for the DJs, then payment will be taken on the door.
We reserve the right to turn away large groups, in particular Stag Parties, Sports Socials or Pub Golf. We want everyone who comes to Mr Wolfs to feel safe and comfortable. If this happens and you have purchased tickets, a full refund will be processed within 7 working days.
