Hunny Buzz + Longcoats

— Mr Wolfs
Dive in and choose optimism and love.

Few artists can pinpoint an emotion as clearly and honestly as Hunny Buzz's Lydia Read. On Short Black Skirt, the excellent debut single from Lydia's songwriting project and four-piece band, it's as if she's singing about things everyone has felt before but never dared to put in words themselves. It's the stunning culmination of her evolution as a songwriter and artist, which she has been developing for as long as she can remember as a bedroom pop solo project. Recorded at the BIMM Studios with producer Elina Bali, Short Black Skirt is just a drop in the ocean for what Hunny Buzz have patiently been keeping in store. Their songs are for anyone whose felt uncertain and doubtful about their future and had the courage to dive in and choose optimism and love.

Longcoats (est. 2019) are a five piece Pop Rock and Indie band who hail from South West UK. They have had a busy nearly three years making music receiving praise from the likes of The BBC and A&R factory as something of a breath of fresh air to the UK indie scene, with their catchy pop rock hooks and slick grooves, perfectly built for radio.

Since debuting their music to the world in November 2019 with debut single ‘Used To Being Used’ (racking up a total of 20K streams on Spotify) Longcoats have released one other similarly successful single ‘Drag’ now on over 20K streams and featured both singles on their full length EP ‘October’ produced by Jack Daffin (‘Television Villain // Medway ’) which dropped 30/10/2020 which was well received and championed by blogs and radio such as: Indie Buddie, BBC Bristol & Solent, Bath Radio, Tone FM, The A&R Factory + Many more.
