HARMER JAYS
Harmer Jays seamlessly weaves rich instrumentation, distinctive stylistic choices, and soaring vocals to craft a contemplative and intensively concentrated sonic flow.
Inspired by an eclectic mix of trailblazers such as Joji, Maggie Rogers, and Bon Iver, Harmer has cultivated a unique sound, and one that thrives on vulnerability and evocative Persuasion.
His live act comprises four Members, singer-songwriter Harmer Jays, Keys, synth bass player and producer Arthur Foulstone, and drummer Joe Kinnear. Together the three create a delicate live act, at once intimate and expansive, crafting poignant narratives through haunting melodies and lush soundscapes.
PADDY BENEDICT
Folk/Rock singer-songwriter and musician Paddy Benedict was born in Wales, grew up near Bath, and studied at the Southwest Music school and Trinity Laban Conservatoire, before moving to France to pursue a career in academia. Having thought better of it, and consequently passing a spell working on boats, in gardens and on building-sites, he now returns to familiar shores carrying a new self-published album of songs inspired by the intervening years. ‘The Luck The Love The Rock’ offers messages of optimism, seeking out positivity in changing, challenging times. Onstage Paddy Benedict and band span the gap between judgemental rock and open-hearted acoustic folk, bringing warmth and bounce with rhythms that resemble roots reggae and country music, borrowed from across the Atlantic. The result is a joyous, heartfelt folk/rock/pop experience, evocative of the likes of Johnny Flynn, Nick Mulvey, and, The Kooks (apparently).
