A
gig
held at Mr Wolfs
on Thursday 9th June. The event starts at 21:00.
Formed in early 2020, Portrait Of developed their sound and style during a very strange era indeed. With an eclectic range of influences, from the 90’s underground scene, to modern post-punk bands such as Deerhunter and Ought, to Talking Heads, Portrait Of deliver a unique mix of angular melodies and hazy sonic textures – at times spooky, other times propulsive, always entertainingly odd.
Support from Laissez Faire
Since early 2019, Laissez Faire have been taking the Bristol music scene by storm with successful single launch shows at The Mother's Ruin and Rough Trade along with a stand out performance from Dot to Dot Festival 2019. They have also supported the likes of Indoor Pets and Sheafs along with being shortlisted for Truck Festival and Y Not Festival. Now returning after nearly 2 years away, the boys are keen to pick up right where they left off.
AND Broke Honey
Broke Honey is an independent artist/producer based in Bristol, UK. Taking inspiration from art and literature, her experimental genre-bending sound derives from her dark retro-futuristic impression of the world. Collaborating with a collection of talented musicians, artists and writers, Broke Honey aims to immerse listeners into the emotion of the stories she tells through each project. The Ephemeral project is a collaboration between Broke Honey and Molly Greenshields, combining the evocative powers of music and poetry in an atmospheric manner.
