For our first band of the year, we have Matuki! Matuki are a 12 piece Afro-beat band that fuse traditional Gambian rhythms and storytelling with more modern styles of West African Dance Music and Funk. Lead by master Drummer/Singer Ebou Sanyang and supported by the incredible Kora player Suntou Susso, they utilise tuff basslines, pulsating drumming, soaring harmonies and sizzling horns.
