What sounds does the soil make - science cafe at MV Balmoral
This is a free events - donations appreciated

A event on Tuesday 2nd September. The event starts at 19:45.

Our speaker is Dr Sam Bonnett, Senior lecturer in Environmental Science in the School of Applied Sciences at UWE.
Sam and his colleagues are actively investigating the potential for monitoring the sound of soil as a means to holistically assessing soil health and provide a human experience of soil life that could influence behaviours and attitudes to the environment.
The work involves developing an ecoacoustic monitoring network for soil, water and air for research, teaching and knowledge exchange on UWE campus, funded by the UK Acoustic Network+ and the British Ecological Society.
Join us aboard the MV Balmoral from 7pm for a 7.45pm start. Tour the ship, grab a drink at the bar, and settle in for a revealing evening.
This is a FREE event — arrive early to get a seat.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
