t l k is an artist, vocalist and producer based in Bristol UK. t l k centres the voice-as-instrument, in live and recorded contexts, with palettes formed from vocal layers, found rhythms, analog synthesis and organic instrumentation. Fluid in genre and form, with a leaning towards cinematic ambient, downtempo electronic, skewed pop, neo-classical and musique concrète sensibilities, their works evolve from memory,
dialogue, dreams and ongoing explorations into grief, selfhood, human behaviour and its coalescence and tensions with the non-human.
Michael Gianan
Michael Gianan can usually be found shmanging his unique brand of guitar around Bristol since arriving in 2024. From being one part of punk/jazz duo D/RK-HUMR to lending lush soundscapes and many a “shrubbery*” to local legends as well as his involvement with the wider improv and avant garde scenes, Gianan has found a musical home here. For this Native Vine show, he will be presenting his original solo material - tunes and songs as serving as honest vehicles as well as a slew of Gianan’s current obsessions. Expect folky lamenting, rogue guitar tangents, a good dose of soundscapes and whatever else he’s on about that day. (*beautiful rustling sounds akin to that of shrubs or otherwise)
