A clubnight on Friday 12th July. The event starts at 19:00.

Transistor Rhythms presents The Art Of Being Yourself.

Join the very first performance of an electronic album which ranges from the depths of emotionally powerful ambient to the heady heights of melodic breaks and techno.

Accompanied by visual projection and hosted in an altogether unusual setting, this event will be a step far beyond the ordinary.

"It’s intensely personal.

Passion, power, hope, elation. A fever dream of emotion.
Over the course of the album, I have attempted to capture a multitude of feelings and tell a story of very real experiences.

The album is a direct reflection of my musical influences and taste. Many different artists can claim to have had a hand in the making of this album. Some might be obvious, others, less so. I didn’t want this to be a collection of club records, it has far more intention than that.

This is a push into new territory. Into something wider, something more in line with the sound I want to create. Every track stands alone in its own space, but the true feeling of the album is best captured, like any good story, when listened to from the beginning."

Support on the night comes from Bristol electronic musician Thomas Ridley. Cutting his teeth in the world of analogue electronic composition and live performance, taking a collage-like approach to recording, his compositions are imaginative and unwieldy, but with enough muscle to move a dancefloor.

His live shows are fully improvised, exploring sound live on a modular synthesiser and responding to the audience and space.
