Snazzback + DJ Jackson Worm at The Old Market Assembly
£12

A gig held at The Old Market Assembly on Friday 11th March. The event starts at 22:00.

New wave dancefloor instrumentalists Snazzback bring a renewed, daring energy to dance music. The 7-piece embrace their Bristol beginnings to create a sound fusing abstract beats with spiralling improvisation, that doesn’t shy away from chaos. Their music is soaked in influences including interlocking West African rhythms, rootsy Brazilian flavours, sprawling soundscapes, deep dubstep basslines and flickering arpeggiators. A collaborative instinct runs through the group, and an eclectic choice of vocalists and MCs keeps their compositions shimmering in unexpected ways.

Snazzback’s electrifying chemistry has wowed audiences at Ronnie Scott’s, festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown & Shambala and gained support from BBC radio heavyweights including Gilles Peterson, Jamz Supernova and Jamie Cullum.

"Snazzback...Great! There's been so much talk about the London jazz scene but there's ALOT going on in Bristol"- Gilles Peterson (BBC 6Music)

+ DJ set from Jackson (Worm Disco Club)
