★ FORRÓ COM PAPAYA FIESTA ★ - beginner class + live band + DJ

PAPAYA Fest and Forró Bristol are teaming up for the first time to bring the warmth of Northeast Brazil to the Old Market Assembly - one big night of live music, dancing and connection.

Here’s how it goes: we kick off with a beginner-friendly class, so you’ll actually know what to do with your feet before the band even starts. Then it’s live forró with the all-female band Desabafo no Pé all night, with a DJ to carry it late.

Never danced it before? Perfect - that’s rather the point. Forró is a Brazilian partner dance built on closeness and joy, and it’s honestly one of the loveliest ways to meet a room full of strangers. No partner needed, no experience needed. Just turn up ready to move.

This is the kind of night PAPAYA Fest was built for: live music, a little bit of learning, and everyone in the room dancing together by the end.
