A gig held at The Old Market Assembly on Friday 22nd April. The event starts at 22:00.

At times playful, at times explosive, Mama Jerk and the Ladyfingers’ set of stomping tunes is infused with humour and sensitivity, and hooks that will stay in your head for days!

Their music borrows from Eastern Folk, French Chanson, Ska, Dub, Baroque and many more styles. This disregard for genre makes for an organised chaos which is tinged in Psychedelia and fully original.

The Ladyfingers hail from Bristol and London. They cut their teeth on the festival circuit, and have most recently been writing some fresh material ready for a new festival season. Formed in Bristol in 2012, Mama Jerk and The Ladyfingers have built their reputation playing at Boomtown, Secret Garden Party, Glastonbury, The Isle of Wight Festival and many more. Alongside their festival appearances, the band have been building up a following playing venues and parties around the country.

Over the years, the sound has been tamed and honed around the band’s diverse musical interests. With a laid back, dub and hip hop inspired rhythm section, indie and classic rock fuelled guitars, and songwriting inspired by world folk and blues rock.
