This year, Lyra have teamed up with Bristol Ideas and Working Class Writers Festival to commission 12 poets from working class backgrounds to write new work. This hour-long showcase will feature Casey Bailey, Muneera Pilgrim, Helen Sheppard, Malizah, 1990's Chris, Wendy Pratt, Bertel Martin, Tierney Elliot, Louisa Adjoa Parker and Laurie Bolger. We will hear poems from these writers and what the experience has meant to them. The poems will be printed onto postcards and be given out for free at Lyra Festival 2022 live events.
