See event details

A event on Saturday 16th May. The event starts at 13:00.

Come wander with us

As we go on a walk through the countryside stopping for live music on our way to the Neolithic stones of Stanton Drew.

Starting in Pensford we will roam along fields, meadows and riverbanks. On the 2 mile journey to the stones we will be accompanied by live music from Alex Horsley and his banjo skills and songs.
When we reach the prehistoric standing stones of Stanton Drew (Britain’s second largest stone circle) Alex will play then we will have some time to sit amongst these ancient stones to reflect, draw or spend time however you wish . Before heading to the Druid Arms pub where there are more old stones and tales to be told.

From there we head back to Pensford via the lovely old mushroom house. We will walk back as a group or you are welcome to make your own way back.
