Whats That Sound? workshop at Pervasive Media Studio
See event details

A event on Sunday 7th December. The event starts at 15:30.

Inspired by their mulitdisciplinary work developing Resusci Anne and the Personal Displays of Affection (coming to the Jam Jar on Dec 3rd!), Raina and Holly will help you explore using voice, body, and everyday items around you to create soundscapes for some of our favorite poems.

Clapping, humming, stomping - drumming on tables. No musical experience required, various noisemaking machines will be provided or you’re welcome to bring your own!

Throughout this 1.5 hour session we will lead you through a mix of small group exercises aimed to help you experiment with language and poetry in a new light. We will look at some of our favorite poetry and music mash ups, and use those to guide your work.

Expect a warm and silly space to share your gutteral and whimsical sounds. Experiment with the sounds around us. Bring your comfiest self and be ready to make some noise!

Running 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm at Watershed (in the Pervasive Media Studio)

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
