Lei Di Dai, singer and songwriter , crowned queen of Brazilian "Dancehall" by RollingStone magazine.
The influence of Jamaican music is present in its positive lyrics and danceable beats, gaining prominence on the international Billboard for its solid career and numerous tours and connections around the world.
Lei Di Dai began her solo career in 2005, as a musical entrepreneur, she has a label called "Queen", where she released her 5 albums.
‘Stevo the Bass’ is the culmination of a lifetime spent delving to the endless depths of bass; both as a maestro bass-guitarist and as a humble student of dub.
Stevo the Bass’s music features deep growling bass lines, a rich horn section, a driving wall of percussion, and hypnotic dubs.
Live bass is the fundamental element of Stevo's sound. This is transformed in the live arena into the eyeball-shaking sub-frequencies of the Soundsystem session.
On record or on stage, Stevo the Bass retains this unique stamp by oscillating between live dub-mixing and instrumentation.
Ras Addis has been a stalwart of the local soundsystem scene since the 90's. As a vocalists Addiss had recorded alongside names such as Dubkasm, Dubbing Sun, and Ishiban.
As a selector, he has been a member of Negus Melody Soundsystem, as well as playing out many sounds throughout his years of dedication to the message of Jah music.
Hailing from a 90s soundscape defined by the introspective guitars of Radiohead, Troz Minster's musical journey took a turn when he arrived in Bristol in 2000. He found his rhythm at free parties and the legendary Full Cycle Sundays.
Troz's sonic palette is as diverse as it is dynamic, drawing from his junglist roots while incorporating everything from the UK garage to klezmer. The throughline in his eclectic sets is always a deep, resonant bassline and the unmistakable warmth of a high-quality .wav file.
A romantic at heart, he's also a self-confessed sucker for a soulful female vocal. The result is a sound that lives on the fringes—a blend of nostalgic rave energy and forward-thinking global influences, moving the soul and the dancefloor in equal measure.
Quiche Chegwin will be rounding up the night with some heavy jungle to keep the dance pumping till the end. Expect deep an derp bass, breaks and bangers.
Undo Cru are a Bristol based, cooperatively owned and run Soundsystem. Known primarily for their custom built 12v rave trike, tonight we experience the bass bin loaded static version of the rig.
