Folk for Ukraine at The Plough Inn

A gig held at The Plough Inn on Thursday 21st May. The event starts at 21:00.

Return Ukraine's stolen children! Since 2022, Russia has abducted an estimated 20,000 Ukrainian children, breaking international law. Tonight we are raising funds for Save Ukraine, the leading Ukrainian charity locating and returning children back to safety, back to their families, back home.\

Hot off the stage at the Arcola Theatre in London, Mariia Petrovska makes her debut performance in Bristol with her beautiful vocals and bandura artistry. Once banned under Russian and Soviet rule, this 65-stringed traditional Ukrainian instrument has become a symbol of freedom.

Bristol's Barnfire trio return to the Plough with bluegrass-inspired harmonies and bouncing solos, and Νικόλας shares his Balkan folk melodies on the Greek bouzouki.

Join us for a night-time medley of strings from Bristol, Greece and London - and all the way to Ukraine with love.

Entry requirements: 18+
