School of Chativism – Review Session at PRSC
See event details

A event held at PRSC on Friday 16th April. The event starts at 16:30.

An opportunity to look back on the lessons learned and the questions raised through the School of Chativism experiment – an alternative social media created for the School of Activism - and maybe a chance to answer the question “is it possible to create a truly ethical social media platform?”.

“Hello fellow SOA participant or supporter,

As our contribution to the discussion in this year’s School of Activism we are working with the PRSC to create an experimental online space to inform, engage and probe the potential benefits, drawbacks and issues that come with social media usage today.

For the duration of the SOA we’re running an experimental online social discussion space we call the ‘School of Chativism’, where you can post any relevant questions and/or content in the decentralised social media forum.

If you’re able to join us in the debate that would be even better, especially if there are wider questions related to your interests you’d like to share. As well, please could you support this platform by sharing the URL so others can get meaningful insights to online networking harms.

All the best,
Ollie, Victoria, Rik and Dan
School of Chativism Team"

TICKETS: The suggested donation of £4 will help us keep the School of Activism as accessible & low-cost as possible, £8 will subsidise a ticket for someone else - but no-one turned away through lack of funds!

The School of Activism 2.0 is a two week programme of workshops, talks and activities brought to you by Peoples Republic of Stokes Croft over the Easter holidays. The workshops are intended to be empowering experiences equipping people with the tools to challenge the status quo, contest power structures and ultimately to change the world.

We learn by doing. We make our own future.
