An event held at PRSC on Saturday 14th November. The event starts at 12:00.
PRSC will be open all day for hangs in between the programmed events at our other Stokes Croft venues! Come grab some food or a drink at the bar, and check out an installation by local artist, Hebe Rusk. We also have these events scheduled throughout the day.
Open 12:00 - 22:00
Exhibition by Hebe Rusk. Bristol artist Hebe Rusk constructs identities through mixed media assemblages of fashion, sculpture, sound and collage. Projecting digital relics into curious artefacts she questions the power of images to subvert and abstract, appropriated through screens and surface.
17:00 - 19:00
Pièce de Résistance feat. Analog Armenia & Laura Phillips (listening session & discussion)
Pièce de Résistance is an informal Bristol get-together which came out of a shared feeling amongst friends who shared an anxiety at the state of the world, and a resulting desire to provide a space for connection and solidarity. The idea is simple: eat together, think together, share ideas, and expand views. Artists are invited to share the music that influenced them, both as people and as artists. For this session organised specially for En Masse Community and Arts 2026, PDR have invited artist and archivist Olivia Melkonian; and Bristol-based audio-visual artist Laura Phillips to do the honours.
19:00 - 20:00
Particles in Performance (live improvisational performance)
What happens when subatomic particles become instructions for a live performance? Enjoy the outcome of a workshop led by Rachael Nee, Dan Johnson & Anushiye Yarnell where participants explore the artistic potential of Nee’s muonic receiver, an instrument that detects subatomic particles and translates their movements into prompts. The hour-long performance will demonstrate the strange and unpredictable meeting point between physics, sound, movement and performance. Not something you see everyday!
This event is part of En Masse’s 2026 Community and Arts Programme. This free-to-attend programme aims to enhance access to creative opportunities in Bristol, empower a diverse range of individuals to pursue creative careers, and nurture Bristol’s independent arts ecosystem by making it more connected and resilient. We actively encourage applications from those whose backgrounds have historically been underrepresented in the culture sector.
Venue access: The People's Republic of Stokes Croft is fully wheelchair accessible, but unfortunately the toilets are not. Some users may find grab rails helpful – see here for more information: https://prsc.org.uk/accessibility/
This event is supported by Arts Council England.
