Remembrance Day - How the Working Class Ended WW1 at PRSC
See event details

A event held at PRSC on Tuesday 14th November. The event starts at 18:30.

(Tickets are pay-what-you-can with a suggested minimum donation of £3.00 in order to help cover venue costs. There are some limited free tickets as well for comrades who will struggle to contribute this.)

In a break from our usual Tuesday evening discussion groups, we bring an event for Remembrance Day: honouring the deserters, the strikers, those who shot their commanding officers, and every other hero of the working class who refused to fight or tried to end WW1.

Speakers will discuss the hellish conditions that soldiers were put through, and how revolutionary movements across Europe helped to end the war.

Members of the Remembering The Real World War 1 group will also tell the story of the 600 men from the Bristol area who for moral, religious or political reasons refused to fight in World War 1 and the men and women who supported them.

Doors open at 18:00 for a 18:30 start.
