(Tickets are pay-what-you-can with a suggested minimum donation of £3.00 in order to help cover venue costs. There are some limited free tickets as well for people who will struggle to contribute this.)
After a successful run of Education and Socialism events last year, we are back to plan another year of sessions with a view to bringing some more people on board. We want your ideas and input. Bring them along (however unfinished) and we can work together on session ideas and book them in for future months so that you have plenty of time to prepare and plenty of support to run the kind of high-quality political education that the movement needs right now.
Sessions can be on anything education and socialism related: from nurseries to universities, from public libraries to Duolingo, from Gloucester grammar schools to Zapatista Autonomous Rebel Municipalities. Previous sessions have included: Bullshit Pedagogy, Deschooling Society, The Cuba Literacy Campaign, bell hooks, Paolo Freire, The Common School. Experienced activists and facilitators will be on hand to help build session ideas and confidence.
All welcome and all encouraged to get involved, in whatever way you would like to contribute.
Sessions will happen at 6:30pm on the second Tuesday of each month.
