Queens Head, 286 Fishponds Rd, Eastville, Bristol BS5 6PY Digital chaos meets live improv. A unique performance of curated sampling guided by loud live drums. This event presents local experimental and improv post-avant-garde gems: Bristol Laptop Orchestra (BLO) and David/David together taking over The Queens Head in Eastville, celebrating David/David’s new album release with New York’s Label 577. with support from BAMBI REDUX! This semi-autonomous process aims to revoke the tendency of stasis informed by the performer, often impeding the immediacy of improvised computer music - thereby maintaining a state of flux throughout the show. The Bristol Laptop Orchestra (BLO) is a collective that uses code, custom software, and digital interfaces to build improvised, intense, chaotic pieces in real time (sometimes beautiful drone soundscapes). It was born out of Bristol’s underground and experimental scene; it can be described as a high-tech jam session. David/David: A duo exploring the intersections of glitch electronics and free jazz percussion. David/David works with processed textures and live instrumentation, creating structures that are fleeting yet intense. Expect a mix of playful volatility, with acoustic and digital sounds colliding in unpredictable ways. Closing the night with BAMBI REDUX. This isn't artificial intelligence; this is real stupidity. High-impact Panamanian drum machine aerobics providing a natural alternative to Brazilian butt lift procedures. “An Apokolyptikum..” — *Zeit*. They asked, “…just don’t call it noise.” For audiences interested in: live electronic composition, improvisation, and exploratory sound practices. This event aligns with the lineage of experimental music, blending digital techniques with the spontaneity of live performance.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs, 1:1 ratio)
