Welcome the Start of Summer at the first ever TANGLED ROOTS FESTIVAL of Contemporary Folk, Roots and Traditional music. Held on an organic farm south-east of the City on the weekend of the 15th June 2019.
Radford Mill, Timsbury, is an organic farm and artistic centre where a variety of creatives, farmers and market gardeners live and work. The Festival is all about Acoustic, Folk, Roots and Traditional music. Both local and national artist will be performing, and festival goers can expect to hear Traditional Folk, Contemporary Acoustic, Manouche, French Gypsy Jazz, Flamenco and Appalachian A Capella. Heading the bill will be Electric India Co., winners of best band at the Fatea Magazine awards last year, and Kirsty Merryn, who recently toured with Show of Hands. There will be locally produced, prepared and cooked food, lots of local ales, ciders and wines and a chance to sample the Food and Arts and Crafts made on the Farm. There will also be a chance to learn some Flamenco moves and to join a Festival choir as well as opportunities to take to the stage with open mic slots and acoustic sessions around the festivals’ Campfire.
The main event will be on the Saturday, but camping is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
Tickets (from £25) and further info can be found at the website: tangledrootsfestival.com or on the gate from the Friday Evening.
