A
gig
held at Roll For The Soul
on Friday 25th November. The event starts at 20:00pm.
Bamboo is the project of Rachel Horwood (of Trash Kit, Halo Halo) Nick Carlisle (of Peepholes, Don't Argue).
Bamboo return to Roll for the Soul to showcase their second studio album, ‘The Dragon Flies Away’ (out Sept. 16 on Upset The Rhythm). Chiming circles of melody from banjo, vocals & synth weave spatial soundscapes, evoking Kate Bush, Japanese Noh theatre and the band’s uniquely literate take on synth pop.
Fresh from playing Simple Things this year, producer and instrumentalist Kayla Painter plays ambient electronic music. Kayla’s sound draws from techno, garage and post dub; surging deep bass lines and warm washes of ambience.
